Creating a Glamour Photo in PhotoShop Cs2 February 3, 2008

I am going to begin with just a headshot. For this tutorial, I am using my own picture.

1. I begin by using the blur tool over the skin. The blur tool will remove any imperfections on the face.

2. Duplicate the layer. On the bottom layer you will go to variations (image/adjustments/variations). We are going to use this bottom layer to make the eyes a different color. For mine, I chose a blueish-green. You can make then any color you want from the variations menu.

3. Select the top layer. You will you use the background eraser tool to remove the eyes from the top layer.

4. Next, take the blur tool and blur the background of the picture out.

5. You can now desaturate the top layer (image, adjustments, desaturate).

6. You can finish the picture with adding scan lines, or a flower in the hair.

Here is my finished picture:

    Okie Dokie! I got Elements 6 for V-day, do you know anything about it? I’m getting verrrrrrry confused by the layer stuff. But this tutorial did help a bit!
